We finally move to our new house, its has been exciting, frustrating, and exhausting. We are now in the country and its has been a big change but a good one. Hailey isslowly starting to adjust to her new surroundings. The first couple weeks she was having trouble sleeping due to the new enviroment. She would cry for hours….. finally fadding out to sleep ,only to wake up just as brad and i were headed for bed! Gotta love her! Luckly now she is back to taking her long 2 hour nap which is why i actually have the time to write today! She is now 20 months and has completly given up her crib, she so nicely handed it over to her little sister! I am a little worried about her sleeping in the big girl bed, a few mornings when i woke up i heard her crying and found her stuck between the bed and wall! This morning i found her trapped under the bed! How do i keep my baby in the bed?! Usually when she wakes up she will wait for me in her bed or she will get down and i can hear her talking to her babies. We did push the bed up against the wall .Is any one else experiencing this? If so Help! I want her to be safe during the night.
Sphere: Related ContentThe entire fam is just getting over a cold. Yep, all of us got miserably sick including baby Hailey. Foruntately I think she also got over it faster than mom and dad though and we’re all starting to feel a lot better.
Baby Hailey is getting up and walking all over the place now. She went from just taking a few short steps and falling down to full on walking, turning corners…the whole bit. And she’s doing it often and right in front of us, she was shy before and would only trying walking when she thought we couldn’t see her. Now she’s a regular pro.
On the flip side, baby Hailey is also starting a phase we all know as the terrible two’s. She’s getting really whiney lately over nothing it seems. Though, she does still have a few new teeth coming in, so I’m sure that doesn’t feel to good. But she is getting really fussy about certain things, like going to bed for instance, she cries louder and longer than she used to. And riding in the car just yesterday on the way to and from church she really let us have it. Hope that’s a quick phase!
Sphere: Related ContentThese things are life savers! Baby Hailey has been taking a few steps here and there and getting much more adventurous. A week or so ago she would climb up the stairs one or two steps before she got scared and called for us to come get her. The other day, the same day she started zipping around on her walker, she made it up the entire flight of stairs before we realized she was even on them. Talk about a panic!
We started putting up a baby gate on whatever floor we are on to keep her off the stairs. She’s an ace no doubt on getting up those stairs, down is another story though and she has tried. I’m nervous that she’ll slip one of these days and go tumbling down, so the gate is going to be a more permanent fixture in our house. I’ll let her play on the stairs when I can be right behind her with my hands ready to catch her but otherwise she’s grounded.
