Baby’s bedtime

What is an appropriate bed time for a 16 month old? Hailey used to go to bed at 7:00, but latley we have been letting her stay up to 9:00. It is nice because we get to spend more time with her. But when its time to finally put her to be she puts up a bigger fight and cries for much longer in her crib. In the morning i have to rub her back to wake her up, while normally she would already be awake playing. She also seems to be more cranky when i pick her up from  school, she is also teething so its hard to tell if its sleep or just agony from her teeth. Tonight brad put her down at her old bed time and she was asleep with out a big fuss. i miss the exta time with her playing and chasing her around the house, her little laugh is to die for! We’ll see if her mood is better when i pick her up tomorrow!

Daddy’s Little Girl

Hailey has always been a mamma’s girl.  She likes to cuddle on mamma, she like’s mamma to hold her and if I was holding her she would jump over to mamma’s arms if she got the slightest chance.  I didn’t mind, I grew up as a mamma’s boy myself.  So I knew how she felt.  Recently Hailey has been shifting over to being daddy’s little girl.

:)

The past few days she has been cuddling up to me at least as much as she does to Jamie.  Hope that doesn’t hurt Jamie’s feelings any, but it really makes me feel good when Hailey just wants me to hold her or when she laughs hysterically when I play with her.  I’ve been trying to take the burden off of Jamie a little bit of bathing and carrying Hailey because Jamie’s already carrying Abby everywhere.  I think that may be helping toward Hailey warming up to me a bit.  Whatever the cause, it’s a nice feeling having her not cry whenever I take her from mamma.  She still loves her mamma and loves to cuddle up to her, but now I’m included in the fun.  Being a father is without a doubt the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
