We finally move to our new house, its has been exciting, frustrating, and exhausting. We are now in the country and its has been a big change but a good one. Hailey isslowly starting to adjust to her new surroundings. The first couple weeks she was having trouble sleeping due to the new enviroment. She would cry for hours….. finally fadding out to sleep ,only to wake up just as brad and i were headed for bed! Gotta love her! Luckly now she is back to taking her long 2 hour nap which is why i actually have the time to write today! She is now 20 months and has completly given up her crib, she so nicely handed it over to her little sister! I am a little worried about her sleeping in the big girl bed, a few mornings when i woke up i heard her crying and found her stuck between the bed and wall! This morning i found her trapped under the bed! How do i keep my baby in the bed?! Usually when she wakes up she will wait for me in her bed or she will get down and i can hear her talking to her babies. We did push the bed up against the wall .Is any one else experiencing this? If so Help! I want her to be safe during the night.

He says that she should also be able to put together small phrases. She says the normal words mama, dadda, juice, shoe, duck , dog, see, whats that, ut ohh, and her favoriate word ball. I have been trying to read to her and do her animal flash cards to teach her new words, but all the animals to baby Hailey are dog or duck! Is there anything else i can do to help her learn new words? Is there a list of certian words that all kids learn first? I am trying to get her to say please, but she seems to not have a clue what that word means. One word she is clear on is no. If i ask her a question and thew answer is yes she is silent but if it is something she does not want she shakes her head side to side quickly! ’
I know every child is different, and Hailey seems to be a very smart child. I will just keep reading to her and calling out the names of objects through out the day. Just because she is not verbaly repeating the words after me like i would like her to do, she is soaking it all up in her brain. I wish i had access to look and see all the things she has stored in there already! Children are so amazing!
Sphere: Related ContentWhat is an appropriate bed time for a 16 month old? Hailey used to go to bed at 7:00, but latley we have been letting her stay up to 9:00. It is nice because we get to spend more time with her. But when its time to finally put her to be she puts up a bigger fight and cries for much longer in her crib. In the morning i have to rub her back to wake her up, while normally she would already be awake playing. She also seems to be more cranky when i pick her up from school, she is also teething so its hard to tell if its sleep or just agony from her teeth. Tonight brad put her down at her old bed time and she was asleep with out a big fuss. i miss the exta time with her playing and chasing her around the house, her little laugh is to die for! We’ll see if her mood is better when i pick her up tomorrow!
