Hailey is trapped

We finally move to our new house, its has been exciting, frustrating, and exhausting. We are now in the country and its has been a big change but a good one. Hailey isslowly starting to adjust to her new surroundings. The first couple weeks she was having trouble sleeping due to the new enviroment. She would cry for hours…..  finally fadding out to sleep ,only to wake up just as brad and i were headed for bed! Gotta love her! Luckly now she is back to taking her long 2 hour nap which is why i actually have the time to write today! She is now 20 months and has completly given up her crib, she so nicely handed  it over to her little sister! I am a little worried about her sleeping in the big girl bed, a few mornings when i woke up i heard her crying and found her stuck between the bed and wall! This morning i found her trapped under the bed! How do i keep my baby in the bed?! Usually when she wakes up she will wait for me in her bed or she will get  down and i can hear her talking to her babies. We did push the bed up against the wall .Is any one else experiencing this? If so Help! I want her to be safe during the night.

Motherhood

Well it finally happend! Baby Abigale was born on August 1st at 8:05 in the morning! She was a 6 pound 4 0z healthy baby girl. She was a c-section baby and i was thinking of calling her angel because she looked so beauitful and peaceful. Untill last night, when she through her own party. i was thinking of a slightly different  nickname!

 :)

She woke up 2 to 3 times almost every hour! CRAZY! She is so good during the day sleep, eats, poops, sleeps….. she mustbe  nocturnal? I need to find the code to reverse this! I try to wake her a few hours before i go to sleep but she is so deep in z land its impossible. Poor Brad hardly got any sleep either, he looked like a monster this morning!  Hopefully in time she will figure out mamma is much nicer when you give her sleep!

Baby Hailey is now 18 months, and is taking all the new changes of having a baby sister pretty well. She tries to say abby but instead says abba. She wakes up in the moring asking for baby and runs in our room to her bassinett. She loves to give her kisses but then tries to sit on her! I cant wait to see in years from now the strong bond that they will form together! Motherhood is such a beautiful thing even if you dont get to sleep like a baby anymore!

How many words should a 16 month old speak?

Our pediatritions says by the time Hailey is 2 she should have a vocabulary of at least 50 words. That seems like a whole lot of words to learn in such little time! He says that she should also be able to put together small phrases. She says the normal words mama, dadda, juice, shoe, duck , dog, see, whats that, ut ohh, and her favoriate word ball. I have been trying to read to her and do her animal flash cards to teach her new words, but all the animals to baby Hailey are dog or duck! Is there anything else i can do to help her learn new words? Is there a  list of certian words that all kids learn first?  I am trying to get her to say please, but she seems to not have a clue what that word means. One word she is clear on is no. If i ask her a question and thew answer is yes she is silent but if it is something she does not want she shakes her head side to side quickly! ’

I  know every child is different, and Hailey seems to be a very smart child.  I will just keep reading to her and calling out the names of objects through out the day.  Just because she is not verbaly repeating the words after me like i would like her to do, she is soaking it all up in her brain.  I wish i had access to look and see all the things she has stored in there already!  Children are so amazing!
